topic- female's standards of relationships, and why they should not be what they are now.

there will much generalisation though =X

imagine this instance. a guy and a girl caught each other's eye. but yet, both are shy to face one another, and are both waiting for the other party to make the first move. now, in most situations, if you were an outsider to such a situation, would you ask the girl or the guy to make the first move? as expected, a strong percentage of people would answer, " what! do you even need to think for such a situation? of course its the guy lah!" incidently, this crowd of responses, would also be from the female population, while the guys would most probably shut up or reply, i dont know or shrug their shoulders.

so my question is, why is this so? why are guys still expected to make the first move, be the initiator? the world has progressed, times have developed. women now hold high positions within the office and demands control, very much different as compared to the past, where it was all a guy's world. equality, they call it. sexual equality. sexual equality where by leaders are not a male territory, where women call the shots and are able to influence to world. however, sexual equality? its a complete turn around when it comes to relationships. never heard of, a girl's best bet. what is that? "females are supposed to be treated well in it, guy's are supposed to take the initiative. its fair and simple, isn't it? hasn't it been like that since the start of birth, the day god created earth, human and water? so why should we now change and develop, and make the first move?" these words are often used simply as a shield to defer everything that prompts them to take the lead in a relationship. surprisingly, "change and develop" and society is progressing are the exact same terms women use nowadays to suppliment their reasons in every attempt to attain more control in life, with the sole exception of that of relationships.

guys are not born to initiate a relationship. ever. most of us were built to do it. however, it definitely isn't the easiest task around town. a guy may be able to take the stage, host a party of a million without a sweat, lead an army though history without a fear, close business deals without a blink of an eye, but yet, when it comes to just asking a girl for her number, he may just shiver and break down, and ponder so thoroughly it beat the guts out of him.
