this will probably be the last post of 2007! lols. sounds so cool and milestone-ish siol. haha. what a year man, what a year.

plenty of great movies, spent more than half a year feeling emo, sad, unhappy, pissed and every other negative feelings, wasted millions of opportunities, plenty of shocks and surprises, new friends, enemies and foes, 1/10th of the day everyday of the year in this not-so-tiny-but-super-cramp cubicle called the MRT, changed multiple hairstyles, smiled and frowned more than the minutes i've lived, wishes, dreams, hopes, and many many many more. sigh.

went town today, to get my xmas prezzie from my aunt, but to no avail. wanted to get a set of headphones, but decided against cos i'd be getting a music phone soon, and well, it'll be redundant as it wun connect. thought of a polo tee, but either its fugly, or it doesnt have my size. so how. hmmmm.

will be meeting mentals to cross over to 2008 tmr.
rule no1. - banglah elimination.
rule no 2. - if it fails, run for cover! if friend or likely victim spotted, provide utmost help when your danger is cleared!
rule no3. - if u're free, refer back to rule no.1 dont worry, there will never be a shortage of them to take down. THIS IS SPARTAAAA!

okay ho hum.

sidenote: victims may very well be guys, cos, uhm.. their taste vary?

anyway, i just hope that 2008 will be a much happier year for me. and not so much angst and sadness.

to everyone out there, hope u'll have an even better life, although i know that knowing me has alredy greatly added much value and happiness to ur life ;D wahahah. i know i'm right, right? no left, i'm left handed. hm. but i'm right that i'm left, right? righttt.

okies. cya nice cute little people. for those who i dislike, oh well. bless ur butts(:

thr's no need to thank. it'll really be the last anyway.

hm. and i jus thought. what if your opponent's team has ur sibling in it? like, a big mach or something. cos the ferdinand brothers were playing against each other just now. hmmm. interesting.

i wanna watch hitman, and i am legend. who else wants please contact meee!! i'm like, freaaaking free. okay whatever. i'd see if i hv time or not. haha.

although everyone knows the lyrics BY HEART(slap you if you dont, this song's a legend) alr, here's it again just for the merrily merriness of merrility. hah. whateverr.

So here we stand
In our secret place
Where the sound
Of the crowd
Is so far away
You take my hand
And it feels like home
We both understand
Its where we belong
So how do I say
Do I say goodbye
We both have our dreams
We both wanna fly
So let's take tonight
To carry us through
The lonely times

I'll always look back
As I walk away
This memory will
Last for eternity
And all of our tears
Will be lost in the rain
When I find
My way back
To your arms again
But until that day
You know you are
The queen of my heart

So let's take tonight
And never let go
While dancing we'll kiss
Like there's no tomorrow
As the stars sparkle down
Like a diamond ring
I'll treasure this moment
Till we meet again
But no matter how far(No matter how far)
Or where you may be(Where you may be)
I just close my eyes(Just close my eyes)
And you're in my dreams
And there you will be
Until we meet

I'll always look back
As I walk away
This memory will
Last for eternity
And all off our tears
Will be lost in the rain
When I find
My way back
To your arms again
But until that day
You know you are
The queen of my heart

I'll always look back
As I walk away
This memory will
Last for eternity
And all off our tears
Will be lost in the rain
When I find
My way back
To your arms again
But until that day
You know you are
The queen of my heart

Oh yeah
You're the
Queen of my heart(Queen of my heart)
No matter how
Many years it takes(Queen of my heart)
I'll do it all to you
Oh yeah(Queen of my heart)
Oh yes you are
The queen of my heart

guess its over. the last staw's been twitched, ripped and plucked.

ITS the end. go figure.

sometimes, we shouldnt see someone's character and judge upon it. there are millions of other factors that may affect everything else. character isn't everything, although it still works best if you need a cliche answer to a bugger who insists on an answer as to what you look for in friends/partners.

a knot is tied, there's no way to undo it back. the harder you pull away, the more ur hurting ur hands. there are now 2 ways, to cut of abruptly and see half the string left in you, or you slowly find a way, and undo it, stitch by stitch, time consuming, but you get a whole string yet again.

probably its the start of the end, although its masked with a 'rest point' sign on it. you never know the journey ahead. you never know. smooth, bumpy, treasure-filled or just a bloody dead end. then again, maybe, just maybe, its gets much too much to even continue. think about that.

oh forget it. sometimes.

met half-mentals + benny&ruiqi&jiaxin. i love turkey. LOL. MERRY XMAS everyone, lets all wait happily for the fat ass red liar with a metre long beard who only appears in our dreams and hopes and wishes.

lets all wait.

for nothing.

some things you do just pisses me off, no matter now or ever. and you know it.

just breezed through yahoo, and saw this article, "7 medical myths even doctors believe". took out only the more interesting ones though. credits to them though.

And so here they are, so that you can inform your doctor:

Myth: We use only 10 percent of our brains.

Fact: Physicians and comedians alike, including Jerry Seinfeld, love to cite this one. It's sometimes erroneously credited to Albert Einstein. But MRI scans, PET scans and other imaging studies show no dormant areas of the brain, and even viewing individual neurons or cells reveals no inactive areas, the new paper points out. Metabolic studies of how brain cells process chemicals show no nonfunctioning areas. The myth probably originated with self-improvement hucksters in the early 1900s who wanted to convince people that they had yet not reached their full potential, Carroll figures. It also doesn't jibe with the fact that our other organs run at full tilt.

Myth: You should drink at least eight glasses of water a day.

Fact: "There is no medical evidence to suggest that you need that much water," said Dr. Rachel Vreeman, a pediatrics research fellow at the university and co-author of the journal article. Vreeman thinks this myth can be traced back to a 1945 recommendation from the Nutrition Council that a person consume the equivalent of 8 glasses (64 ounces) of fluid a day. Over the years, "fluid" turned to water. But fruits and vegetables, plus coffee and other liquids, count.

Myth: Shaved hair grows back faster, coarser and darker.

Fact: A 1928 clinical trial compared hair growth in shaved patches to growth in non-shaved patches. The hair which replaced the shaved hair was no darker or thicker, and did not grow in faster. More recent studies have confirmed that one. Here's the deal: When hair first comes in after being shaved, it grows with a blunt edge on top, Carroll and Vreeman explain. Over time, the blunt edge gets worn so it may seem thicker than it actually is. Hair that's just emerging can be darker too, because it hasn't been bleached by the sun.

Myth: Reading in dim light ruins your eyesight.

Fact: The researchers found no evidence that reading in dim light causes permanent eye damage. It can cause eye strain and temporarily decreased acuity, which subsides after rest.

Myth: Mobile phones are dangerous in hospitals.

Fact: There are no known cases of death related to this one. Cases of less-serious interference with hospital devices seem to be largely anecdotal, the researchers found. In one real study, mobile phones were found to interfere with 4 percent of devices, but only when the phone was within 3 feet of the device. A more recent study, this year, found no interference in 300 tests in 75 treatment rooms. To the contrary, when doctors use mobile phones, the improved communication means they make fewer mistakes.

"Whenever we talk about this work, doctors at first express disbelief that these things are not true," said Vreeman said. "But after we carefully lay out medical evidence, they are very willing to accept that these beliefs are actually false."

interesting mannnn.

Saturday, December 15, 2007 ♥ 1:26 AM

sometimes, it is all not worth it. why the hell do people do things that have no meaning or result? why do they do it for people who are not worth their effort? sometimes, in a lose-lose situation, one should just forget about the prize, which happen to be inferior compared to many many others out there. whats the point of proving something, when others will simply not understand. why cant people just be wiser a little bit, to save their friends, the people and their time? stop being a whimp and think that you have all the say, and all you care about is yourself. haven you realised that your opinion is way off and wrong? dont you get it, and even try to listen to us the very least bit? do we seems as if we're out to trick, harm or do smething negative to you? we're throwing you a life line, but you refuse out of ignorance, over confidence and inability to distinguish good from bad and whether it is a rescue or danger, and swim to the sharks. now, somene has to jump ship, just to save you. and lo and behold, even when he's putting his life at the line and trying to save you, you refuse, and run away. isnt this a fucking weakling? you always talk big, about your morals and things you live by and swear off, but whats the point, if you cant even do the simple basic of knowing and differentiating issues? you have a good life, parents who dote the hell of you, and financially comfortable. but whats the point of having all these benefits when you can even stand for right and wrong. i seriously pity the one trying to help you, for i honestly have given up hope. dumbness really kills, not only yourself, but even the people around you. as for the saviour, try to think why you're trying so hard. when you finally decide that there's no actual answer, its about time you decide to give up and pass on. whether friend, lover, enemy or foe, there's a limit as to how muh a person can do or help. you can bring a horse to the water, but you cant force it to drink. its plain simple. you've got to just accept that the horse has to learn that thirst isnt enjoyeable, and the suffering will make it realise that. sometimes, we need to feel pain for us to learn.

finally, the lack of intelligence IS irritating. NEVER think its cute. never. cos it never was, and it never will be.

if you take offence in this post, it only shows that you're either over sensitive, immature to decide properly my meaning behind the post, self centred thinking that the post was meant for you though it wasnt, or all of the above. thxbyez.

i hate my parents. tan chee ming is, was, and has never been my father.

or at the very least, he has never done anything to prove his worth as a father.

i wish him an earlier death. yes tan chee ming, i want you DEAD. read this, and just take it as my last wish for you. just go and die. only then, will i say a sincere thank you.

you pushed me too far. die, tan chee ming. FUCK YOU.

judging from you self proclaimed intelliegence and knowledge, cant you tell even a bit that the whole family finds you an ass, and no one likes you? you have caused nothing but truama, terror and anger for the entire family. and lo and behold, you think that WE are the ones who are bringing harm upon you! what a ego-bastardic metality you have. you flare up on everyone over little stuff, thinking you rule the world because you have money. please, you are poorer than us in EVERYTHING except for material wealth, which will only accompany you to hell, your rightful future. other than that, you're not any better than the beggar across the street who was borned with an absurdly low IQ but yet, is dillusioned that he owns everyone across the street. i seriously dont know how my mum was so stupid to end up with an animal like you. i guess it was her dumb fate or she was seriously blinded in one eye then. then again, i pity her the most. to have to end up with you as her life partner, what a crime it must have been. all the suffering, the torture. guess she must have been a serial murderer who's crime probably even overshadows ted bundy or saddam hussein in her past life to deserve such a life, and here you are to repay her dues. gawd, ur useless, you dont care about the family, insistantly tormenting about our studies and dispising us, saying we're burdens and such useless idiots who only use up ur money without a care. look here, you should be discribing us, not the one you see in the mirror. and dont you realise, all you ever talk about is money? is money that great? if it was, wouldnt you feel better after every dollar earned? why dont you? now, dont you see who is the one who is foolish and have senseless to think that money rules all? who is the one blinded by evil and disgust, and take out your misery on others? you are god's failure, his only mistake. FUCK YOU.

Now that it's all said and done,
I can't believe you were the one
To build me up and tear me down,
Like an old abandoned house.
What you said when you left
Just left me cold and out of breath.
I fell too far, was in way too deep.
Guess I let you get the best of me.
~
Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I'm slowly getting closure.
I guess it's really over.
I'm finally getting better.
And now I'm picking up the pieces.
I'm spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through,
I got over you.
~
You took a hammer to these walls,
Dragged the memories down the hall,
Packed your bags and walked away.
There was nothing I could say.
And when you slammed the front door shut,
A lot of others opened up,
So did my eyes so I could see
That you never were the best for me.
~
Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I'm slowly getting closure.
I guess it's really over.
I'm finally getting better.
And now I'm picking up the pieces.
I'm spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through,
I got over you.
~
Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running

And I never thought I'd doubt you,

Another interesting article found on yahoo news. hmmm.

Unhappy? Self-Critical? Maybe You’re Just a Perfectionist

By BENEDICT CAREY
Published: December 4, 2007

Just about any sports movie, airport paperback or motivational tape delivers a few boilerplate rules for success. Believe in yourself. Don’t take no for an answer. Never quit. Don’t accept second best.

Above all, be true to yourself.

It’s hard to argue with those maxims. They seem self-evident — if not written into the Constitution, then at least part of the cultural water supply that irrigates everything from halftime speeches to corporate lectures to SAT coaching classes.

Yet several recent studies stand as a warning against taking the platitudes of achievement too seriously. The new research focuses on a familiar type, perfectionists, who panic or blow a fuse when things don’t turn out just so. The findings not only confirm that such purists are often at risk for mental distress — as Freud, Alfred Adler and countless exasperated parents have long predicted — but also suggest that perfectionism is a valuable lens through which to understand a variety of seemingly unrelated mental difficulties, from depression to compulsive behavior to addiction.

Some researchers divide perfectionists into three types, based on answers to standardized questionnaires: Self-oriented strivers who struggle to live up to their high standards and appear to be at risk of self-critical depression; outwardly focused zealots who expect perfection from others, often ruining relationships; and those desperate to live up to an ideal they’re convinced others expect of them, a risk factor for suicidal thinking and eating disorders.

“It’s natural for people to want to be perfect in a few things, say in their job — being a good editor or surgeon depends on not making mistakes,” said Gordon L. Flett, a psychology professor at York University and an author of many of the studies. “It’s when it generalizes to other areas of life, home life, appearance, hobbies, that you begin to see real problems.”

Unlike people given psychiatric labels, however, perfectionists neither battle stigma nor consider themselves to be somehow dysfunctional. On the contrary, said Alice Provost, an employee assistance counselor at the University of California, Davis, who recently ran group therapy for staff members struggling with perfectionist impulses. “They’re very proud of it,”
she said. “And the culture highly values and reinforces their attitudes.”

Consider a recent study by psychologists at Curtin University of Technology in Australia, who found that the level of “all or nothing” thinking predicted how well perfectionists navigated their lives. The researchers had 252 participants fill out questionnaires rating their level of agreement with 16 statements like “I think of myself as either in control or out of control” and “I either get on very well with people or not at all.”

The more strongly participants in the study thought in this either-or fashion, the more likely they were to display the kind of extreme perfectionism that can lead to mental health problems.
In short, these are people who not only swallow many of the maxims for success but take them as absolutes. At some level they know that it’s possible to succeed after falling short (build on your mistakes: another boilerplate rule). The trouble is that falling short still reeks of mediocrity; for them, to say otherwise is to spin the result.

Never accept second best. Always be true to yourself.

The burden of perfectionist expectations is all too familiar to anyone who has struggled to kick a bad habit. Break down just once — have one smoke, one single drink — and at best it’s a “slip.” At worst it’s a relapse, and more often it’s a fall off the wagon: failure. And if you’ve already fallen, well, may as well pour yourself two or three more.

This is why experts have long debated the wisdom of insisting on abstinence as necessary in treating substance abuse. Most rehab clinics are based on this principle: Either you’re clean or you’re not; there’s no safe level of use. This approach has unquestionably worked for millions of addicts, but if the studies of perfectionists are any guide it has undermined the efforts of many others.

Ms. Provost said those in her program at U.C. Davis often displayed symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder — another risk for perfectionists. They couldn’t bear a messy desk. They found it nearly impossible to leave a job half-done, to do the next day. Some put in ludicrously long hours redoing tasks, chasing an ideal only they could see.

As an experiment, Ms. Provost had members of the group slack off on purpose, against their every instinct. “This was mostly in the context of work,” she said, “and they seem like small things, because what some of them considered failure was what most people would consider no big deal.”

Leave work on time. Don’t arrive early. Take all the breaks allowed. Leave the desk a mess. Allow yourself a set number of tries to finish a job; then turn in what you have.

“And then ask: Did you get punished? Did the university continue to function? Are you happier?” Ms. Provost said. “They were surprised that yes, everything continued to function, and the things they were so worried about weren’t that crucial.”

The British have a saying that encourages people to show their skills while mocking the universal fear of failure: Do your worst.

If you can’t tolerate your worst, at least once in a while, how true to yourself can you be?

STOCKHOLM (AFP) - Christmas is hectic for all but particularly for Santa, who must live in Kyrgyzstan and make his rounds at lightning speed if he is to deliver gifts to all the world's children on time, a Swedish consultancy has concluded.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Santa Claus's route around the planet includes stops at 2.5 billion homes, assuming that children of all religions receive a present from the jolly man in the red suit, Anders Larsson of the engineering consultancy Sweco told AFP.

"We estimated that there are 48 people per square kilometer (120 per square mile) on Earth, and 20 metres (66 feet) between each home. So if Santa leaves from Kyrgyzstan and travels against the Earth's rotation he has 48 hours to deliver all the presents," he said.

Father Christmas has long been believed to reside at the North Pole, although a number of northern towns, including Finnish Rovaniemi, claim to be his true home.

But Sweco's report on Santa's most efficient route -- which takes into account factors like geographic density and the fewest detours -- shows that he wouldn't be able to make his round-the-world trip from there in time.

"He has 34 microseconds at each stop" to slide down the chimney, drop off the presents, nibble on his cookies and milk and hop back on his sleigh, Larsson said.

Santa's reindeer must travel at a speed of 5,800 kilometers (3,604 miles) per second to make the trip on time.

Another report circulating on the Internet suggested however that Santa's sleigh, weighed down with presents and travelling at supersonic speed, would encounter such massive air resistance that the entire contraption would burst into flames and be vaporised within 4.26 thousandths of a second.

taken from yahoo news. credits and yadayada to them. haha. totally cant believe people actually do such stuff. guess 24hrs gets too much for some people.

rotted today. blah. nothing much to be said. as usual, parents forgot my existance, most like cos they wished i never existed in the 1st place, and din buy dinner though they said they would. they reached home at 11pm. my lunch was at 1pm. hm.

bored of life. time to stop fooling and get serious. maybe, maybe not.

sometimes, its just so hard to get the least motivation to get everything working.
